Maricopa County

Maricopa County is located in the central part of Arizona. It is the nation's fourth largest county in terms of population size, and the 14th largest in the continental United States in land area, covering over 9,220 square miles.

About 60 percent of Arizona's population of over 6 million resides in Maricopa County. As the seat of Arizona's state capital, Maricopa County is also the center of the state's political and economic activity. Collectively, 23 diverse communities compose what is known as the Valley of the Sun, or simply - Greater Phoenix.
